The route takes us across the Peoples Democratic Republic of Laos, then northwards across  through China’s Yunnan Province, and on into Lhasa / Shangri La. The roads traverse stunning mountain landscapes, remote Chinese villages and towns and high mountain passes. The highest altitude we reach is approximately 4,500 metres. Altitude sickness should not be an issue as but we are only at that height for an hour or so.

First class accommodation is available at strategic locations, along with superb local food. Your motorcycle tour guide Prasit Aphiphunya is an experienced traveler in this region, and has traversed this route and its international border crossings scores of times.
